Chiropractic Care for Children

Chiropractic care for children and teens involves the use of gentle chiropractic adjustments. Because the nervous system controls every function in the body, it’s essential for children to get off to an excellent start in life by maximising that function.

Benefits of Chiropractic Care for Children

Children with a properly aligned spine and neck tend to have better posture and be in better overall health.  Chiropractic not only helps align the spine and neck but also helps to clear the neural pathways. This helps the nervous system to perform well, which is vital to healthy living.

Also, due to chiropractic’s full-body approach, it’s a good foundation for regular exercise, healthy eating, and a healthy overall lifestyle in kids.

Posture & Balance

It is important to develop good posture at a young age. This will allow your child to grow in a better state and have a better structure. This can result in better stability as the curvatures of a properly structured spine can help your child distribute all sorts of stressors that he/she goes through during growth. If the structure of the spine is not optimal, not only posture will be affected, balance will too as the biomechanics of the body will be altered leading to unnecessary stress on the body.

Does it hurt?

Most kids find adjustments comfortable. Please know that we use a special gentle technique on children to ensure they are as comfortable as possible.

Age?

We believe that children of all ages can benefit from chiropractic, we feel that it’s vital to get children checked as soon after birth as possible. The first few years of life are dedicated to establishing the foundation for optimal communication between the brain and the body.

What about teens?

We see many teens who can benefit from chiropractic care. Given how much time teenagers spend on digital devices, they can often develop posture problems. Chiropractic care can help address such issues.
